Alpine Park is still being built. It sits on the city's southwest edge, by Stoney Trail and the west end of Fish Creek Park, and most of the people living there moved in within the last few years. The houses are new. What isn't new is everything people brought with them from the last place.
Junk pickup in Alpine Park tends to be that: the old stuff that didn't make the cut. Book a Tuesday or Friday, pay online, and have it out by 8 am. Being home is optional. We text a photo when it's gone.
Where to leave it in Alpine Park
The housing here is a mix of townhomes, laned homes and single-family homes with front garages. Laned homes: put it on your parking pad or beside the garage in the lane. Front-garage homes: the end of the driveway. Townhomes: on your own driveway or pad, not shared green space.
With homes still going up around you, streets can have builder trucks and fencing. Keep items on your lot so nothing gets mistaken for site waste.
What people get rid of in Alpine Park
Mostly move-in leftovers. Things like:
- The previous home's couch, loveseat or bed frame
- Cardboard, packing paper and foam from deliveries, bagged or tied
- A spare mattress that came along "just in case"
- Kids' gear from the last house: a plastic playhouse, a sandbox, an outgrown bike
