The Beltline is towers, mid-rises and old walk-ups packed in between downtown and 17 Avenue. Most people here don't have a garage, a driveway or a back yard. They have a unit, an elevator and maybe a storage locker. Getting rid of a couch is mostly a logistics problem.
Junk pickup in the Beltline works if you can get the item down to street level. Book a Tuesday or Friday, pay online, and have it outside your building by 8 am. We'll text a photo once it's on the truck.
Where to leave it in the Beltline
In the Beltline, curbside means the curb, your building's loading zone, or a surface parking stall. We don't go into lobbies, hallways, parkades or garbage rooms.
Before you book, ask your property manager two things. Can you reserve the elevator for moving furniture, and is there a loading area you're allowed to use? Most condo boards have rules, and some charge fines for items left by the bins.
Bring it down as close to 8 am as you can. Downtown-adjacent sidewalks get busy, and a mattress left out overnight won't be there in the morning, or will be soaked.
What people get rid of in the Beltline
Small units and lots of moving. Typical pickups:
- Mattresses, futons and bed frames
- Sofas and loveseats that won't fit in the next place
- Desks and office chairs from a work-from-home setup
- Patio chairs and small tables from a balcony
Big items like sectionals sometimes don't fit in the elevator in one piece. If it came in apart, take it out apart.
