Junk removal in Varsity, Calgary

  • Curbside from $69
  • No travel fees
  • No need to be home
  • One item to a truckload

Varsity covers a lot of ground west of the University of Calgary and south of Crowchild Trail, with Market Mall inside its borders. Most of it was built in the 1960s and 70s. Split-levels and bungalows fill the side streets, and there are plenty of townhouse complexes and apartments closer to the main roads.

Because of that mix, junk pickup in Varsity covers a wide range. An empty nester clearing the rec room. A student leaving an apartment. A family redoing a 70s bathroom. Leave it out by 8 am on a Tuesday or Friday. We'll pick it up and text you a photo.

Where to leave it in Varsity

For detached homes, the end of the driveway or the back lane, depending on your lot. Some streets have alleys and some don't.

Townhouse complexes usually have rules about leaving things in common areas. Use the spot in front of your own garage or unit, and check with your board first.

For apartment and condo buildings, bring items to the curb or the loading area. Curbside bookings don't include hallways or parkades.

Set things out the morning of pickup.

What people get rid of in Varsity

Houses from the 60s and 70s, plus a lot of rental turnover. Common loads:

  • Rec room furniture: bars, recliners, old TVs
  • Bathroom vanities and toilets from a reno (toilets need to be clean and dry)
  • Student furniture at the end of a lease
  • Bagged yard waste from big old spruce and poplar trees

Questions from Varsity

Will you take an old tube TV?

Yes. They're heavy, so keep it to one per booking unless it's a small one. TVs go to electronics recycling.

Can I put out a toilet with the tank still attached?

Yes, if it's drained and clean. Separating the tank makes it lighter and less likely to crack on the way.
