Signal Hill climbs west from Sarcee Trail, past the stone battalion numbers in Battalion Park. Building started in the late 1980s, so the houses on the lower slopes are now well into their second or third decade, and the ones higher up tend to be bigger and newer.
Junk pickup in Signal Hill is mostly the stuff that piles up in a busy house over 25 or 30 years. Leave it at the end of your driveway or inside an open garage by 8 am on Tuesday or Friday. Pay when you book. You don't have to be there.
Where to leave it in Signal Hill
Front garages and driveways are standard here. The bottom of the driveway is ideal.
Some of the driveways are steep. If you'd be wrestling a dresser down a slope on your own, leave it at the top inside the garage door and note that in your booking. We'll walk it down.
On the crescents where cars line both sides, leave a gap at the curb if you can so we can pull in close.
What people get rid of in Signal Hill
Houses here have big basements, and big basements collect things. Common pickups:
- Sectionals and leather recliners
- Treadmills and home gym pieces
- Old bunk beds and kids' mattresses
- Office desks from the room that's now a nursery again
Garage clean-outs are also common: a few bags of old yard waste, a broken lawn mower with the gas drained, a cracked plastic kayak.
