The Hamptons is almost all single-family homes, and plenty of them are big. It went up through the 1990s north of Country Hills Boulevard, between Sarcee Trail and Shaganappi Trail, with a golf course winding through the middle. Few of the houses are rented.
That means junk removal in the Hamptons is rarely about a move. It's a garage that finally needs clearing, or a basement being redone. Book online, pay online, and leave it out by 8 am on Tuesday or Friday. We'll text you a photo once it's gone.
Where to leave it in the Hamptons
Front-attached garages and wide driveways are the norm. Set items at the bottom of the driveway, to one side.
Some streets are on a slope. If yours is, keep heavy pieces on the flat part by the curb, or leave them inside the open garage and mention it in your notes.
Homes backing onto the golf course have no lane access from behind, so always bring things to the street.
Set out on pickup morning. If your street has an HOA or architectural rules about items left out, morning-of keeps you clear.
What people get rid of in the Hamptons
Big houses hold a lot. After 25 or 30 years, the rooms that get cleared first are the ones nobody uses:
- Formal dining sets and china cabinets (empty)
- Home theatre recliners and big speakers
- Old office furniture from a home business
- Bags of yard waste after a spring cleanup
- Patio sets from the back deck
Clean, intact furniture goes to donation first if a charity will take it. Speakers and electronics go to recycling.
