Ramsay sits on the hill just east of the Stampede grounds. The streets are steep in places, the houses are old, and many lots have been split for infills. A good number of homes are rented, some with basement suites. Junk pickup in Ramsay tends to be move-ins, move-outs and the odd piece that won't fit up a narrow old staircase.
Here's how it works. Book online, pay when you book, and set it in the lane or at the curb by 8 am on Tuesday or Friday. You can be at work. We'll text a photo when it's cleared.
Where to leave it in Ramsay
Most houses have back lane access, and that's where we'd rather pick up. Front streets are narrow, and on Stampede week or event nights they fill up fast.
Steep driveways and lanes are a factor here. If your item could slide or roll, set it flat on level ground at the top or bottom, not halfway.
If you're in a multi-unit house, keep your pile to your side of the yard so the other tenants don't trip over it.
What people get rid of in Ramsay
Older homes, infill builds and a lot of renters means:
- Futons, desks and bed frames from tenants moving on
- Old doors, trim and cupboards from small renos
- A mattress that won't make the turn on the basement stairs
- Bikes and a broken BBQ from the back shed
Usable furniture goes to donation when a charity will accept it. Bikes and BBQs (no tank) go to scrap.
Junk pickup pricing in Ramsay
Curbside pickups start at $69. Ramsay pays the same as everywhere else we serve, no travel fee. We don't come inside, so it needs to be down the stairs and out first. Get your price.
