Midnapore was a hamlet before Calgary grew out to meet it. The houses you see now mostly date from the late 1970s and 80s, between Macleod Trail and Fish Creek Park, with Lake Midnapore in the middle. You'll find detached homes alongside a fair number of condos and townhouses. Junk pickup in Midnapore runs from single-bedroom move-outs to a long-time owner's garage.
How it works: book online, pay, and put it at the curb or driveway by 8 am on Tuesday or Friday. You don't need to be home. We'll text when it's gone.
Where to leave it in Midnapore
Detached houses can use the end of the driveway or an open garage. If you have alley access, that's fine too.
Condo and townhouse owners need to check the rules. Some complexes are fine with items by your unit on pickup morning. Others want everything at a designated spot. Either way, keep it out of shared walkways.
Leave it out the morning of. An item left overnight sometimes gets a neighbour's bag added to the pile.
What people get rid of in Midnapore
With homes over 40 years old and a fair number of renters near the condos:
- Move-out leftovers like a bed frame, desk or small couch
- 1980s furniture finally replaced
- Lawn mowers (drained of gas) and old garden tools
- Bagged yard waste after a fall cleanup
Mowers need the gas and oil drained. We can't haul fuel.
